About the PMVMA

Back in about 2001, a few commercial center merchants were discussing forming an association to promote business within our community.  Shortly thereafter, the Pine Mountain Village Merchants Association (PMVMA) was formed.  With the help of others that had been recruited, this was shortly followed by obtaining a 501c non-profit status, a DBA, a mission statement plus several other legalities that had the organization formally up and running.  In the early years of the PMVMA good things happened for both the commercial center and the community. Christmas Trees for charity, the creation of the Pine Mountain Wine Festival, the Pine Mountain Club Fall Festival of music, cleaning up the commercial center, providing Christmas gifts for local underprivileged children and participating in many other community efforts.  Unfortunately circumstances led to a brief hiatus.

Now we are back stronger than ever with great things planned for the future that include ALL merchants in Pine Mountain Club. After all, we are a “Village Merchants Association”.  “Village” as defined in the Wikipedia Encyclopedia:  “A village is a clustered human settlement or community larger than a hamlet, but smaller than a town or city”.  Thus all of Pine Mountain Club is our beautiful mountain village.
